The short version
Sinextasis has no account, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. It does not contact us when it starts. It does not report what you make, what you play, or how you use it. There is no telemetry switch to turn off, because there is nothing to turn off.
This is not a stance about privacy in the abstract. It is because Sinextasis is live performance software, and software that needs the internet fails in a basement venue with no signal. Building it so it never has to phone home is the same decision as building it so your show does not stop.
What the application sends, and when
The app uses the network in exactly three situations. Outside these, it is silent.
1. When you activate a licence, and to keep it renewed.
Activating sends your licence key and a fingerprint of your computer to our licensing provider, Keygen. Once it succeeds, Sinextasis verifies your licence on your own machine. About once a month, while the app is open and online, it renews that activation with Keygen in the background — never when it starts, and never in GIG MODE — and it does the same at once when you press CHECK NOW in the licence panel. To do that it keeps your licence key on your computer, encrypted by the operating system. With no connection at all, it keeps working for about two months.
The fingerprint is not a profile of you or your machine. It is three hardware identifiers, each stored only as a short one-way hash. It cannot be turned back into a serial number, it says nothing about your files, your hardware specifications, or what you do, and its only purpose is to answer one question: is this the computer this licence was activated on? You can see exactly what it contains in the app: LIC → your fingerprint is printed on screen.
2. When you use the AI shader features — if you use them.
Sinextasis does not resell AI access. You connect your own account with an AI provider, or run a model locally on your own machine. When you generate a shader, your prompt goes to the provider you chose, under their privacy policy, and to nobody else. We never see your prompts, and we never receive a copy. If you run a local model, the prompt does not leave your computer at all.
3. When you ask it to download an optional component.
The video encoder (FFmpeg) and the optional NVIDIA video-effects runtime are downloaded on request, from their publishers, when you click install. Nothing is downloaded silently.
GIG MODE — the network off switch
Sinextasis has a GIG MODE that blocks all outbound network traffic for the session, at the application level, while leaving local models on your own machine working. It exists for exactly the night you do not want anything reaching for the internet mid-set.
What we hold about you
Very little, and none of it comes from the application:
| what | why | where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| your email address | to send you your licence key and tell you about updates | Paddle, Keygen, Resend |
| your purchase record | to prove you bought a licence, and for tax and accounting | Paddle |
| your licence key and its tier | to issue and support the licence | Keygen |
| the fingerprint of each activated computer | so the licence works on your machines and not on everyone's | Keygen |
| anything you write to us | to answer you | our email |
We never receive your projects, your shaders, your recordings, your audio, or your prompts. They exist on your computer and nowhere else unless you put them somewhere yourself.
We do not sell data. We do not share it for advertising. There is no advertising.
Who else handles your data
Four companies, each doing one job:
- Paddle.com — payments. They are the seller of record: they take the payment, handle sales tax, and hold the transaction record. Your card details go to them and never to us; we never see them.
- Keygen.sh — licensing. They store the licence key, the tier, and the machine fingerprints.
- Resend — email delivery. They send the email with your licence key, and the notice when your updates are extended, on our behalf: they see your email address and that message, and keep their delivery logs for 30 days.
- Your AI provider, if you use the AI features — chosen by you, paid by you, governed by their terms, not ours.
How long we keep it
Purchase and licence records are kept while your licence is active, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to. Emails are kept while they are useful for supporting you.
Your rights
Write to hello@sinextasis.com and you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything wrong;
- delete it — bearing in mind that deleting your licence record deletes the licence, so Sinextasis returns to the free tier on your machines;
- send you a copy in a portable format.
We answer these ourselves. There is no form and no ticket queue.
Where you live
The data controller is DOCE MAS UNO S.A.S., a company registered in Colombia, which handles personal data under Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012). If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the rights listed above directly, and we honour them regardless of where we are.
Children
Sinextasis is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant — if the software starts sending something it did not send before — we will say so in the release notes, not only here.

A note on why this page is specific. Most privacy policies are written defensively, claiming as much room as possible in case the software's behaviour changes later. This one describes what the software actually does, because that behaviour is tested: an automated check runs the application's entire startup with a licence installed while counting every outbound network call, and it fails the build if the count is anything but zero. The claim "it does not phone home when it starts" is not a promise about intentions — it is a measurement.
