Version 1.0 · 16 September 2026 · applies to Sinextasis 0.5.0 and later
Please read this before installing
This is an agreement between you and DOCE MAS UNO S.A.S., the developer of Sinextasis (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Sinextasis you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install the software.
We have tried to write this in plain language. Where a sentence still sounds legal, it is because it has to be.
1. What you are getting
You are buying a licence to USE Sinextasis. You are not buying the software itself, and you are not buying a share of it. We keep ownership of the application, its source code, its shaders, and its name.
The licence is personal to you, cannot be transferred or sublicensed, and can be revoked only under section 14.
2. The free tier — non-commercial use only
Sinextasis can be used free of charge, indefinitely, for NON-COMMERCIAL purposes. The free tier is fully featured. It differs from a paid licence only in that:
- output to an external display or projector is limited to 1280x720;
- external output and every recording carry a visible watermark;
- it projects to one display at a time;
- lossless and professional export formats (ProRes 4444, FFV1, HAP Q, QuickTime lossless, PNG sequence) are unavailable;
- the native Vulkan output engine is unavailable;
- saving path-traced still images is unavailable.
COMMERCIAL USE means using Sinextasis in connection with anything you are paid for, directly or indirectly. That includes, without being limited to:
- performing at a paid event, or any event you are paid to perform at;
- work for a client, employer, agency, venue, festival or brand;
- content on a monetised channel, stream or account;
- promotional material for any business, including your own;
- visuals you sell, license, or supply as part of a paid service.
The following is NOT commercial use, and is expressly permitted on the free tier:
- learning, practising, and experimenting;
- personal projects you do not earn from;
- performing at events where nobody pays you;
- sharing work you do not monetise.
If you are unsure whether your use is commercial, assume that it is, or write to us and ask.
3. Paid licences
A paid licence removes every limitation listed in section 2 and permits commercial use.
Subscription (monthly, 3-month, 6-month)
Works for as long as the subscription is active, plus a grace period of 30 days after it lapses. When it lapses, Sinextasis returns to the free tier. It does not stop working, and it does not lock your work away (see section 6).
Perpetual
Works forever, in the version you were entitled to. It includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase. After those 12 months the software keeps working exactly as it is; you simply do not receive newer versions unless you renew. Renewal is optional and never required to keep using what you have.
Education
Discounted, and available to students and teaching staff on proof of status. An education licence permits coursework, teaching and research. It does not permit commercial use.
4. How many computers
One licence lets you install and activate Sinextasis on up to TWO computers that you own or control, plus ONE spare activation for emergencies — a failed laptop before a show should not require a support ticket.
The licence is for you. Two people may not perform on two machines at the same time under one licence. If you need that, buy a second licence.
Activation ties the licence to a computer using a fingerprint made of three hardware identifiers. If a computer changes enough that it no longer matches — replacing its system disk, for example — activate it again. That uses one of your activations, and we will free the old one if you write to us.
5. What you may not do
You may not:
- remove, hide, alter or obscure the watermark;
- circumvent, disable or work around the licence limits, or use software that does;
- share, publish or resell your licence key or licence file;
- copy, redistribute, rent or lend the application;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the application, EXCEPT to the extent that the law where you live gives you a right to do so that cannot be signed away, and only within the limits of that right;
- use Sinextasis to break the law or infringe anybody's rights.
6. Your work is yours
Everything you make with Sinextasis belongs to you. That includes your projects, your shaders, your presets, your recordings, your exports, and the visuals you perform. We claim no ownership of them and no right to use them.
Your project files always open, on any tier. If your subscription lapses, Sinextasis returns to the free tier — it never holds your work hostage, never refuses to open a file you made, and never deletes anything.
7. The AI features
Sinextasis can write shader code for you using an AI model. Three things follow from how that works:
- YOU SUPPLY THE KEY. Sinextasis does not resell AI access. You connect your own account with an AI provider, or run a model locally. Your use of that provider is governed by the provider's own terms, not by this agreement, and any charges they make are between you and them.
- THE OUTPUT IS YOURS. Prompts you write and shaders generated for you belong to you, as far as we are concerned, subject to your AI provider's terms.
- NO GUARANTEE. AI-generated code may be wrong, may not be original, and may not be fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for what you generate, for checking it, and for what you perform in public.
8. What Sinextasis sends over the network
Sinextasis does not phone home when it starts, does not contain analytics, and does not track you. There is no account to create in order to use it.
It uses the network only when:
- you activate a licence or press CHECK NOW in the licence panel, and about once a month after that, while Sinextasis is open and online, to renew it quietly — never when it starts, and never in GIG MODE. It keeps working for about two months with no connection at all, so that a venue with no internet cannot stop a show;
- you use the AI features, in which case your prompt goes to the AI provider YOU chose, and to nobody else;
- you ask it to download an optional component, such as the video encoder.
9. Updates
We may release updates. We are not obliged to. Updates may add, change or remove features. If an update would remove something you rely on, the previous version you were entitled to keeps working.
10. Other people's software
Sinextasis includes components written by others, each under its own licence. They are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, which is installed alongside the application. Those licences govern those components. This software contains source code provided by NVIDIA Corporation.
11. Refunds
We refund a perpetual licence in full if you ask within 30 days of purchase, and a subscription within 14 days of its first payment. You do not have to justify the request.
Your purchase is processed by Paddle, who are the seller of record, so a refund asked for through the receipt they emailed you is usually the fastest route. Writing to us works too.
Beyond that we will still refund a licence if Sinextasis does not work for you and we cannot fix it.
A refund deactivates the licence and Sinextasis returns to the free tier. It does not stop working, and it never holds your work back (see section 6).
Nothing here removes rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
12. No warranty
Sinextasis is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it is free of defects, that it will suit your purpose, or that it will run without interruption on your particular hardware.
This is live performance software. Test your show before you perform it, and keep a fallback. We cannot be responsible for a performance that goes wrong.
13. Limit of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost bookings, lost work, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the event that caused it.
Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Ending this agreement
This agreement ends if you break it — in particular section 5. If that happens you must stop using the paid features and remove the licence from your machines. You may keep using the free tier.
You can end it at any time by uninstalling the software.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future versions and future purchases. The terms you accepted when you bought your licence continue to apply to that licence.
16. Which law applies
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, and the courts of Colombia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
