Questions
Is the free version time-limited?
No. It never expires, there is no countdown, and it is not a trial. It is free forever for anything you are not paid for.
Can I use the free version at a paid gig?
No — that is exactly what a licence is for. Free covers learning, practising, personal projects and playing at events where nobody is paying you. The moment you are paid, you need a licence.
What does the watermark look like, and where does it show?
Two marks: a line of text along the bottom-left, and a larger one running diagonally across the frame at low opacity. Both appear on external output — what the projector shows — and on everything you record or export. Neither ever appears on your own working screen while you are building visuals.
The diagonal one is deliberately faint: enough that nobody could pass the output off as a paid licence, not so much that it spoils the free tier for learning.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not to run it. The free tier never needs one. A paid licence is checked on your own machine; it renews itself in the background about once a month when there is a connection — never when Sinextasis starts — and keeps working for about two months without one. And GIG MODE blocks all network traffic for the night.
What happens when my subscription ends?
Sinextasis returns to the free tier. It does not stop working, and it never holds your work back — every project, shader and recording you made still opens.
Does a perpetual licence stop working after 12 months?
No. The updates stop; the software does not. The version you were entitled to keeps working forever. Renewing at $69/year only gets you newer versions, and it is entirely optional.
How does renewing updates work?
It is a yearly subscription: each payment adds a year of new versions to your licence. Renew before your current year ends and you lose nothing — the new year is added at the end. Use the email you bought your licence with. After paying, open Sinextasis, click LIC and press CHECK NOW.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two that you own, plus one spare activation for emergencies.
Do I have to pay for the AI?
Not to us. You connect your own — a model running locally on your own GPU costs nothing, or you can use your own AI subscription or API key. Your prompts go to whichever provider you chose and never to us.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, and a graphics card supporting WebGL2 — anything from roughly the last decade. The installer is about 180 MB.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. 30 days on a perpetual licence, 14 days from the first payment on a subscription — no justification needed either way. Though the free tier means you can find out whether it works on your machine before spending anything.
